*Winner of the 2009 Tufts University 5th Annual 50K Social Entrepreneurship Competition*

The Strivers Foundation is a recognized 501(c)3 organization whose mission is to spur economic development in Uganda through fostering the growth of local medium sized enterprises. Strivers accomplishes through our Business Launch Program (BLP), a free annual summer workshop. Talented young adults with a demonstrated passion for entrepreneurship are offered the opportunity to receive practical instruction in business management from renowned Ugandan businessmen and professors free of charge. At the end of the program, the Ugandan students are encouraged to submit a proposal to receive a competitive microloan from Strivers to start small, tech-based enterprises in their local communities.

Having won the 2009 Tufts University Social Entrepreneurship Competition, the Strivers Foundation currently running its unique education and financing model in Kampala, Uganda.
